Ciprian Hord is a clinical psychologist and documentary photographer. He is also a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Arts at the West University of Timișoara and an associate lecturer in the Fine Arts specialization (Photography – Computerized Image Processing) at the Faculty of Arts and Design. His long-term photographic projects cover a wide range of themes: monastic communities, the daily lives of the visually impaired, politics, provincial melancholy, and, over the last three years, he has focused on the visual representation of people suffering from mental disorders. His photographs have appeared in various international and national publications (Time, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Vice USA, NOOR, BIF Magazine, Balkanium, Scena9, DOR, Dilema Veche, Orizont) and have been exhibited at Emergenze (Rome, 2023), Interfoto (Timișoara, 2021), Politika (Arad, 2016), FotoIstanbul (2015, 2016), Mediafaxfoto Best Of 2010-2011 (Bucharest 2011).
