On October 16th, as part of the InterFoto 8.0 – InterGenerational project organized by the Kabaitan Cultural Association, storytelling workshops facilitated by Dr. Claudia Bucsai, a cultural mediator, and analog photography workshops led by Lecturer Dr. Mădălin Mărienuț, a faculty member from the Photography Department at the Faculty of Arts and Design, Timișoara, took place at FABER Timișoara during the Roman Franc – Collections photography exhibition.
The workshops were attended by students from the Emanuil Ungureanu Technical College, a partner institution in the InterFoto 8.0 – InterGenerational project. The students, alongside their accompanying teachers, were invited to use the photographs in the Roman Franc – Collections exhibition as a window to explore individuality and identity. The goal was to engage the students in creative storytelling based on their own emotions and the narratives evoked by the images.
During the analog photography workshop, students were introduced to the techniques of analog photography and aspects of black-and-white photography aesthetics. Using Roman Franc’s photographs as a reference, the participants transformed into professional photographers. Black-and-white film cameras were provided, and the students were tasked with creating a story through images.
