On October 21st, as part of the InterFoto 8.0 – InterGenerational project organized by the Kabaitan Cultural Association, cultural mediation workshops were held at FABER Timișoara during the photography exhibition Roman Franc – Collections, facilitated by Dr. Claudia Bucsai, a cultural mediator.
During the mediation sessions, which were aimed at children with hearing impairments from the Constantin Pufan School Center for Inclusive Education, we discussed the themes of the photographs and imagined who the people photographed by Roman Franc might be. Through a photography session using a film camera, the children experienced analog photography in real time and explored their own identity through the portraits they created. The discussions were facilitated by interpreter Angela Mate
using Romanian Sign Language.
