SUMMARY:Presentation on AI and New Technologies with Camil Mihăescu
DESCRIPTION:On October 22nd at 1:00 PM\, in the assembly hall of Emanuil Ungureanu Technical College\, Prof. Dr. Camil Mihăescu delivered a presentation featuring theoretical and historical concepts and showcased his portfolio of works titled ”Spinning Around Something that is Myself and Not”. Camil Mihăescu shared with the students his long-standing study of the transcendence of the spiral\, which mathematics describes as an infinite open curve\, with a hypothetical origin and a path based on the golden ratio: an irrational number at the core of our existence\, from the microcosm to the macrocosm. \nThe students were told how the works presented are a reformulation of earlier creations with the help of a rather special partner: artificial intelligence (AI). In the infinite horizon of new technologies\, AI represents the most ambitious and intriguing tool\, allowing the artist\, as Camil stated\, “to explore the relationship between the aesthetics produced by traditional drawing methods and the aesthetics generated by machine learning.” \nAttached are photos taken by Cam Artproject SRL\, our photography service provider.

SUMMARY:AI & New Technologies Workshop for pupils by Camil Mihăescu
DESCRIPTION:Between October 22nd and 24th\, following the presentation at CT Ungureanu\, the first workshop on New Techniques and AI was held in the photography laboratory of the Foto-Video Department at the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara\, with students from the 11th grade and 11-D class of Emanuil Ungureanu Technical College. Over 20 students participated. \nThe project InterFOTO 8.0 InterGENERAȚIONAL is part of the Cultura în prezent 2024 program\, funded by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center.
